Develop and strengthen participants’ capacity to plan, design and apply quantitative research methods in the study of health, illness and health services. |

In this research workshop participants will develop the quantitative research skills needed to measure health trends and their relationships. |
| Participant outcomes |
By the end of the workshop participants will have the skills and knowledge to:
- Describe the three fundamental quantitative research designs - descriptive; experimental and quasi-experimental.
- Develop a quantitative research plan;
- Understand the concept of sampling and power calculations;
- Describe and simulate various data collection techniques including questionnaire design and application (including training of interviewers);
- Apply new technologies in quantitative research including hand held field based data collection tools;
- Begin the process of analysis and interpretation of quantitative data as well as ways (graphs, tables, summaries) to communicate findings.

| Teaching Methods |
Participatory methods - group work, role plays and group presentations will collectively facilitate the building of knowledge and skills. Approximately 50% of the course will be interactive. |
Tuition Fees

Nairobi. Fees range from 30,000-35,000 KES, per participant. All inclusive.
Mombasa. Fees range from 25,000-30,000 KES, per participant. All inclusive.
